Presumed 1st ed. per Hanranhan A17, 8vo, full blue-green cloth printed in yellow, illustrated in grayscale and line by Maurice Sendak. deJong's next book after winning the Newberry Award for "The Wheel on the School" the previous year. All points present save the price on the jacket which has been price clipped. Faint toning to interior gutters and a hint of wear to corners, else fine in very good, price-clipped dj with chip to top of dj spine. No previous owner's marks.
