A very attractive and solid copy of this highly regarded title, winner of the World Fantasy Award in 1982 (and nominated for all the major genre awards that year). A complex novel, set at the start of the 20th century, an architect discovers worlds within worlds that are reflected in the house he builds - perhaps one of the first urban fantasy novels to gain recognition, thus the story is hard to explain. Lauded by many significant authors and critics. A difficult book to find in this condition, that looks super on the shelf in the fitted archival cover.
Synopsis
Winner of the 1982 World Fantasy Award for best novel.

This is not just as good as fantasy fiction gets but fiction in general. A gorgeous book.
