Includes An Extempore upon a Faggot, here attributed probably erroneously to Milton. Previous owner's name on the flyleaf, old stain to upper edge of the first few leaves, two old mends to two of the leaves. Text block is mostly clean with light toning. The book contains an allegorical poem concerning Providence, Blasphemy, Atheism, Infidelity, Wisdom and Inspiration. The author also wrote 'A Key to Truth, Superseding Darwinism by a Theory of Atomic Force', 'The Rise and Reign of Chaos, A Scientific Epic' and 'The Spectral Rock, A Poem'. This is the only example of this title available on the internet.
