Advertisement for Tonson's publications on the final page, Modern calf, the spine titled and gilt. The paper is uniformly toned and the first and final leaves additionally browned by the original leather turn ins. Attributed to John Shirley, amember of the bookselling family. This life appeared first in the 1677 folio printing of Raleigh's History of the World.
