Rear cover has badly bumped corner; The spine has discoloured with age; contents are generally solid, clean & sound; tissue (foxed) protected frontis; 70+ engravings, plus portrait of author, a map of Robinson Crusoe's island, de Foe's tomb, facsimiles of original title pages etc. Book contains a 38 page biography of author at front, which includes a critique of his work; analytical index at rear; the copy is not dated but believed to be circa end of 1870's ; Engravings; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 654 pages .
