New York, NY: Limited Editions Club, 1951. Book. Near Fine. Decorative Cloth. Limited Edition. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. Tan cloth with elaborate gilt designs to the front. Gilt lettering to the spine. This is copy 29 of the 1500 numbered copies illustrated with tipped in color plates after paintings by Fritz Kredel based upon the film created by Laurence Olivier . The Arden text with prefatory note by Mark Van Doren, edited and introduced by Herbert Arthur Evans. This copy is NEAR FINE. Modest toning to spine. Otherwise looks and feels unused. Encased in cardboard slipcase which is VERY GOOD with modestly toned /sunned exterior with a bit of soiling, bumped spine ends, and about 2" of separation , top end, opening.Also laid in is typed description from the Totteridge Book Shop in NYC dated June 1974. .
