About This Item
Newark: Avalon, 1947. Collection of short stories from this now obscure author. Number 166 of 1,000 copies printed, one of about 200 SIGNED by the author below his frontispiece portrait. Includes bibliography of Keller's works in a stapled pamphlet. Keller was an important author in early pulp science fiction, among Gernback's favorites, and a student & sponsor of H. P. Lovecraft's work, reportedly saving Derleth's Arkham House press with a timely loan. Though we suppose you knew that, if you're looking at this listing. Good in fair jacket. Light wear, minor water staining & smudging, corners lightly bumped, paper tanned; jacket torn, chipped, faded, stained, hole in spine. 382 pages, title novella + ten short stories.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. Octavo.
