A biography of one of New Mexico's controversial 19th century figures whose violent death in the White Sands still remains a mystery. "A well-written and long-needed book about one of the leading characters in New Mexico. It contains much on the lawlessness of that state and tells about Oliver Lee, Jim Gilliland, Pat Garrett, and others; with a mention of Billy The Kid."--Ramon Adams. Fine bright copy in price-clipped dust jacket with light wear to the spine ends, a small tear to the mid-spine channel area, a 1" scratch to top edge of front cover, and light wear to the corners, else a very good copy.
