London: Printed at the Bible in George-Yard, Lombard Street, 1766. Previous owner's name top of front cover with a numeral 9 just below. Small triangle of paper missing top of front cover. An eight-page letter from R. Chandler, a lay minister in the Society of Friends, sent in September, 1764, from her home in Esher, England to the Quarterly meeting. She was ill and confined to her home, but she wanted to express concerns on several subjects to the ministers and elders. Cover is loose but complete. A fragile piece of the Society of Friends history. The Society, also called the Quakers, had its origin in England in the mid-1600s. OCLC #745045414. First Edition. Grey Wrappers.
