This book is about the history of the Philippines, South part of Korea, and Okinawa and ..."the women who have worked in the clubs, who were working in the clubs, and who will work in the clubs." It is about a topic never mentioned in the debates over opening or closing military bases in Asia, the lives of hundreds of thousands of Asian women revolve around the sale of sex. Now the women who provide sexual labor for the American military tell their own stories in their own words, from their economic conditions to their attitudes toward the Americans and themselves.

This book grew out of the work of two women in the mid to late 1980's. It contains 200 photographs. Dedicated to these women and one of the leaders of Gabriela (a national coalition of women's organizations), deeply committed to organizing and empowering the women selling their sexual labor all over the philippines.

This book is part of a large collection of WWII airplanes, army figures, and books, collected by a parent who was an 82nd Airborne Ranger. He was an avid collector, as well as a historian. All items have been stored in a smoke free environment.
