About This Item
New York: Robert Schalkenbach Foundation, 1935. Hardcover. Fine/very good. Hardcover in ribbed navy blue cloth stamped in gilt. 151 pp. Fine in very good printed dust wrapper, small chip to one tip and the head of the spine. Contains three separate books by American political economist and journalist Henry George (1839-1897). His writings were quite popular in the 19th century and were credited with sparking several reform movements of the Progressive Era. The economic philosopy known as "Georgism" argued that people should own what they produced but that the economic value of land and natural resources should belong to society as a whole.
