Los Angeles : Artemesia Bindery, 1909. First edition. One of 1000 numbered copies, signed by the author/printer. Octavo. [viii], 133, [1, colophon], [4, blank], [8, publisher's ads, history and reviews, with photographic illustrations). Plus three full page plates by Maynard Dixon (along with vignettes and head-pieces by him as well). Publisher's gray printed wrappers with a Dixon illustration on the front. Some edge chipping and top inch of paper over spine perished but a very clean and good copy. Laid in are an invitation to the Artemesia Gallery and a how-to sheet for sending gif certificates for Strobridge's wares. Apparently the gallery stocked 'Oil Paintings, Water Colors, Monotypes, Etchings, Wood Carving, Pottery and Casts, Autograph Books, Bookbinding'.
