LONDON: HODDER AND STOUGHTON, 1954 Pale Blue Boards with scarlet blocked titles to spine, 250 x 190 mm approx. 128 pp Colour Frontis + 5 other full colour plates and 28 b/w line drawings all as called for. First Edition 1954 signed by the author in ink to dedication page with no other previous owner name or insc. Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition. VG/Good (Book- slight shelf wear and discolouration to boards with fading to extremities, hint of foxing to free end papers and edges of book block, remainder of book block clean, author signature as above. Dust Jacket- a little rubbing to extremities with 8 cm approx tear to rear panel - barely noticeable, heavy foxing to reverse - showing through mainly to front panel, non price clipped - cover 25s, exposed edges of flap folds tanned- no other notable defects to book or jacket the latter now in a removable proprietary protective sleeve). We also have a signed copy of his earlier volume The Hills of Lakeland First edition 1938 in D/J at time of listing # 130903
