This item constitutes volume XXIX of the Journal of the R.G.S. The only other content is covered in Sir Roderick Murchison's President's Address (running over 200pp) and includes Capt. M'Clintock on the Arctic, John McDouall Stuart & Augustus Gregory on West & NW Australia, Palliser expedition in Canada; Admiralty Surveys to date, geographical progress of the United States; a list of the Fellows of the RGS, and 16pp book catalogue at the rear, the entire issue is devoted to Burton's paper.

8vo, ccxxiv, 464 pp, large folding expedition map in very good condition. Original blue printed wrappers & spine chipped, now stabilized with acid-free tissue. Title page a little marked, some slight margin & corner chipping to first & last few leaves. Exceptionally clean copy overall. Housed in a custom box. __________________________________.
