Tokyo, 1927. Very good condition. The four plays include: Kojima Takanori, Ochiudo, The Spirit of a Spider, and Kogitsune Reiza. The cast "includes Japan's first class actors such as Baiko Onoye; Sadanji Ichikawa; Uzayemon Ichimura; and Enjaku Jitsukawa. Advertisements inside the program include NYK Line "Newly Opened Orient - California Luxurious Passenger Vessels"; Caudrelier Pass-Book; Takashimaya and Mitsukoshi Department stores. Kubuki-za Theatre exists today with the original theater first built 1889 and rebuilt multiple times due to fire, earthquake, WWII bombings and today in the style of 1924 baroque Japanese revivalist style. 8vo, 12pp. Illustrated printed wrappers, with title printed in red with blue bamboo illustrated border. Staple bound.
