Interesting and critical biography of the Soviet leader who succeeded dictator Josif Stalin in 1953 and served as Soviet premier until his ouster by fellow communists in the early 1960s. Has much information on the Soviet side of the 'Cuban Missile Crisis', hot and cold relations with Red China, the Khrushchev family and Nikita's private life, and internal Soviet politics. Author a committed 'dissident' Marxist resident in the USSR. Translated by Brian Pearce. Edition and printing not given but price displayed on jacket.; contains b/w illustrations, notes, bibliography, index. Hardcover with dust jacket, 292pp., d.j. shows light edgewear with one one-half inch closed tear. A very nice copy. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
