About This Item
No Place: No Publisher, 1974. Book. Fine. Soft cover. 1st Edition. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Offered is an original flyer entitled "JUSTICE AND MERCY? or, JUST HOW IMPARTIAL IS THE LAW?" containing no information on the activist organization who published it. A finely-printed handbill measuring 8-1/2 by 11" with text on both sides. No date, although 1974 (as indicated in the handbill, Nixon had resigned from office). With front illustration of Nixon hiding behind the Presidential seal, and rear cartoon strip by Jules Feiffer, the text begins "WHAT IF YOU HELD HIGH PUBLIC OFFICE AND:" (followed by several illegal, unconstitutional and unethical actions, including "FINALLY, you had resigned from office without admitting to or confessing complicity in any of these acts but instead presented a false and misleading view of your time in office") and concluding with "IT IS TIME FOR SOME THINGS TO CHANGE! LET'S START BY MAKING SURE JUSTICE IS DONE IN THE CASE OF PRIVATE CITIZEN RICHARD M. NIXON. RECONVENE THE WATERGATE GRAND JURY! LET THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PEOPLE DECIDE!".
