Packing up his black cat and his memories, his four children are unhappy with the prospect of caring for their aging father, but hope to inherit his money after his death. Author Lenard Kaufman (1913-1992) wrote several novels, including Tender Mercy, The Lower Part of the Sky, Troubled Waters (unpublished), Medicine Man, Diminishing Return, Color of Green, The Man with the Red and Green Eyes, Jubel's Children, and Memento of Love.
