Illustrated by Ronald Searle. Edwin Carp, a fish expert and poet, was created by Haydn for 'The Dick Van Dyke Show'. This was the only piece of literature to feature the character.Written by Richard Haydn, an English comedy actor known for roles in 'The Sound of Music' and 'Alice in Wonderland'. This was his debut and only novel.Illustrated by Ronald Searle, a renowned satirical cartoonist known for creating St Trinian's School and the character of Nigel Molesworth.Complete with a clipped dust wrapper.A smart first edition of this work. In the publisher's original full cloth binding with a clipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart, with just a little edgewear. Dust wrapper is slightly sunned to the spine, with a little chipping to the head, but is otherwise in excellent condition. Prior owner's inscription to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound.
