The rapid growth of the oil industry in Texas after Spindletop offered opportunities for experienced oilmen to come to the state and one of them was Joseph Cullinan. In 1897 he brought to the embryonic Texas petroleum industry vigorous management direction, contemporary technological practices, and access to eastern investment capital. A clean presentable copy.
