Includes a biography of Cisneros by Lowman, an overview of the Dobie-Paisano Project (preservation/stewardship of Frank Dobie's country home by the University of Texas), a list of the 95 drawings included in the exhibition, and 20 full-page illustrations. José B. Cisneros (1910-2009) was a Mexican-born American artist known for his historical illustrations and drawings of early Texas, specifically of horsemen including charro, vaquero, Texas rangers, and Texas cowboys.
