About This Item
Original watercolor with pencil outlining of Jerusalem signed and dated (September 25th, 1941) to bottom. Struck was a German Jewish artist who was mainly known for his etchings, commissioned portraits of famous individuals such as Einstein and Ibsen, as well as landscapes of areas surrounding what is now Israel. He rose to fame in the German art world attracting students such as Marc Chagall and Max Liebermann. The image measures 10.5 x 7 in.
