Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Clean illustrated endpapers; no names, writing or bookplates. Illustrated by Ernest H. Shepard, with color frontis illustration. 341 pgs. Clean illustrated dustjacket has very shallow chipping at top spine edge, a few short closed edge tears. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. A masterpiece of children's literature enhanced by the beautiful illustrations of E. H. Shepard. A young boy, his dog, and his family set at the turn of the century (late 1800s)..
