About This Item

London: König Books, 2006. New and unread with just a tiny bit of very mild shelfwear to the cover (like you sometimes find in any new book store). Bright and shiny. Flat, uncreased spine. NO owner's name or bookplate. NOT a remainder. Pages are fresh, crisp, clean and unmarked -- obviously never read. NO underlining. NO highlighting. NO margin notes. Illustrated with photographs throughout, nearly all in beautiful full color. Bound in the original pictorial wraps. 7" wide by 9.5" tall. Distributed by Buchhandlung Walther König. From the publisher: "Jeppe Hein (born 1974, Copenhagen, Denmark) is an artist based in Berlin and Copenhagen. Hein is widely known for his production of experiential and interactive artworks that can be positioned at the junction where art, architecture, and technical inventions intersect... This book contains essays by Francesco Bonami, Ilina Koralova, Michel Gauthier, Kirse Junge-Stevnsborg, Christine Macel, Heinz Stahlhut, Vincent Pecoil, Gabriele Sand, Barbara Steiner. In Jeppe Hein's work, objects begin to move or are set in motion, sensory stimuli are triggered, the exhibition space is altered, and viewers instigate active relationships between individual elements, the space and themselves. Jeppe Hein opts for the exhibition space as an 'event space' that promises unique encounters and experiences. It also includes a list and the description of works.". First Edition. Softcover. New. Illus. by Hein, Jeppe. 293pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.

About About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
