A fine copy in original brown cloth, gilt-stamped on upper cover and spine, dust jacket a touch faded at spine. From the library of Kim Merker with his ownership signature on the front free endpaper. Timothy Barrett won a MacArthur Award in 2009 for his much-admired work on the history of paper and papermaking. This is a practical guidebook, with an appendix on how to use Western fibers in the Japanese process.
