About This Item
London: Cassell & Company Limited, 1969. First Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Despite the British seaman's long history of devotion to service, probably no group has been so thoroughly misunderstood. Here Laffin has set out to redress the balance of vice and virtue. 202 pp. plus: Bibliography, Index. Book has large gilt text on spine, and is illustrated with b/w photographs and pictures. Spine ends are lightly rubbed. Unclipped (36/-net) DJhas edge wear particularly along all of the front panel and tail of spine. Rodents or termites would be my guess. Bookseller's Inventory # 154432.

About Lower Beverley Better Books
An online bookstore that just grew from a combination of a love of books, a desire to save them from landfill and an inability to bypass yard sales. A considerable percentage of my inventory is signed editions. I also take pride in my Canadiana catalogue.
