About This Item

LONDON: MACMILLAN. Science fiction novel. First printing. Surface wear/small splits on dust jacket edges. Front of DJ and the lower part of the DJ spine has marks on it(from being used as a writing support surface). There is a small hole in the dust jacket. Black boards. Slight wear on board edges. Squiggle mark(an indentation) on front board. The book appears to have received mild water damage in the past. No staining or leaching but the bottom section of the book's pages are out of true and somewhat crinkled. DJ has not been price clipped. Pages are lightly tanned. Clean pages. Strong binding. No inscriptions. The title on the front of the DJ has notable rubbing(affecting the 'N' of Iron and particularly the 'CIL' of council) . Good Plus. Hardcover. First Edition. 2004.

Synopsis

Iron Council (2004) is the fourth novel by China Miéville, set in the same universe as his previous books Perdido Street Station (2000) and The Scar (2002), although they can all be read independently of each other. In addition to the steampunk influences shared by its predecessors, Iron Council also draws several elements from the western genre.
