New York: Doubleday, Page & Company. Good. 1917. Later Printing. Hardcover. 284 p. 24 cm. Sound and square binding in green, cloth-covered boards. Boards are slightly bowed. Corners worn and softened. Gilt spine titles are dulled. Rubbed with some scratches. Bookstore label and previous owner's name on front endpaper. Inside pages have occasional soil in margins. Some leaves have bottom fore-corner bumped. Plates are clean. Originally published in 1915, this is an early reprint of a interior design book. The author was the Director of the New York School of Art in the early 20th century. Central to his philosopy of design was the cultivation of "taste", based on principles of simplicity and harmony. Illustrated with black and white plates. This book is heavy and may require extra postage. .
