Edinburgh: William Blackwood, 1824. 1st Edition . Full-Leather. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Full leather, detached covers and lacking the spine leather, some chipping around the board edges. Clean and bright internally, minor marking. Susan Edmonstone Ferrier 1782-1854. A 1st edition of the 2nd of Ferrier's 3 novels. With marbled page edges and endpapers, armorial bookplate of John Burton Philips on the front endpaper (who built Heath house in Staffordshire in 1836).
