Book plate of previous owner; top edge lightly toned. The one page letter from Lovett acknowledges a letter received from Graham Readshaw via a presumed mutual acquaintance, Maud Kelly. Lovett affirms that paper and pigments used to create the illustrations, reveals something of his technique and advises Readshaw - also an artist - where to acquire the paper stock. He closes by telling Readshaw he will be moving to Queensland and perhaps they will be able to meet. "Meantime I hope you enjoy the granulation
