Philadelphia: R.W. Pomeroy, 1839 Complete in two volumes. The great translation of Alexander Pope. Condition notes: Vol I: (xxviii), 284 numbered pp; Vol II: 274 numbered pp; HBs. Pages: generally clean, ivory/substantially foxed, tight; loss of portions of two preliminary pages in volume 1, all edges well sunned some pencil marks in volume 2, dampstain to bottom corner of firs one-third of volume 1. Cover: full leather, gilt ornamentation front/spine, guilt titles to black spineblock; modest shelfwear, extrems moderately worn a few small scuffs to leather, several stains.

Poor(P)-truly ugly, disbound or requiring other major rehabilitation. We stabilize most minor defects with archival quality materials, and with few exceptions, these stabilizations are reversible
