London: T. Werner Laurie Ltd., 1924. Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. John overton. Beautiful Sangorski and Sutcliffe binding in near fine condition. Authors name on spine is lost, rest of spine is very fine. All edges of text block are gilded and book is bound in beautiful green polished leather with double ruled gilding and decorations on front and rear. Bottom of front cover where it meets the spine has a 1/4" crack. Front of cover has very slight shelf scratches. paste-downs and end papers are marbled. Book is seemingly unread, unmarked, tight and square. A truly beautiful collectible. Translated from the French by W. P. Baines.
