Publisher's olive green cloth with gilt-stamped spine and cover titles; red and black illustration on spine and front cover. Publisher's catalog of books for boys and girls on 4 pages following text. Although known primarily for writing about nature, American naturalist and writer Ernest Ingersoll here presents the adventures of three boys and one girl who travel over the ice of Lake Erie to reach Cleveland. Scarce. In Very Good Condition: edges rubbed; slightly cocked; "Library" in red pencil on front free endpaper; title page stained; otherwise, clean and tight.
