Black and white photos throughout showing anglers with their catches, private camps, river and lake scenes, hotels, etc. Text drawings of angling scenes in the margins. Topics include Sebago Lake and the Songo - Kennebec County - Along the Androscoggin Valley - Clear Water and the Dead River Region - Among the Rangeleys - The Rangeley Chain - Upper Kennebec Country - Moosehead Lake - Northern Maine, the Aroostook Region - Penobscot County, etc. A very scarce work. Not in Bruns or Wetzel. OCLC locates one copy of the first edition held in an institution. The book is bound in its original colorful pictorial wrappers with an angler on horseback netting a trout on the front cover, and colorful flies on the back cover.
