Hardcover with dustjacket, first American printing, "The first long-range penetration raid of General Orde Wingate's Burma Chindit Force in 1943 was not lacking in stories of incredible bravery and fortitude," book has some foxing to the blank end-papers and mild dust-tanning to the top outer page-edge, the binding is tight and the text is fine, the jacket has a small amount of edge-wear and mild foxing on the flaps and underside, the front panel illustration and the rear panel photo of the author are in nice shape, the original price (3.95) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included .
