About This Item
London: Methuen & Co., (1955). First edition, first printing. This is a near fine copy. The Michael Ayrton dust wrapper is beautifully illustrated. There is some light toning and bumping present at the top and tail edges. It has not been price clipped showing the original 30s. net price. The boards have a lean and the black bands are slightly rubbed, the gilt titling remaining bright. The top text block is foxed, but the bottom and side are clean. This copy is free from previous owner's ink and is, overall, in near fine condition.
The second and third books in Lewis's trilogy.
