About This Item
London: Sampson Low & Co., 1885. Book. Fine. Hardcover. 2nd Edition. Second Edition, later though early printing. Big, heavy though compact tome about the travels in East Africa in 19th Century. The book is unmarked throughout but text block has slight hinge issues stating at back and tissue guard at front. The spine is still firm and boards rigid. Tips still pointed though tips and cover are worn and rubbed though still vibrant brown with nice picture of a Stanley and Livingston and others on front cover. Spine ends slightly pushed and frayed. Black and white drawings of natives and scenery. Index, appendices, glossary. No jacket. Looks intrepid! Shipping box is suitable for wrapping. .
