About This Item
London: Hutchinson, 1961. A lot of wear to edges and folds of unclipped dustwrapper, also a tear two-thirds up the left-hand side of the spine and across, then up the other side, so really in two parts but for an old piece of sellotape. Some bumping to spine ends and corners of blue boards, a previous owner's name on f/ep, but otherwise a not too bad, internally clean copy of this hard-cover book. The second in the author's "House Trilogy" set in Sussex, this one is set between the late fifteenth century and the 1680s. 414pp.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Poor. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
