A limited edition copy of this work by Joyce Cary, with only 1500 copies printed. This copy is numbered 335. This volume includes Cary's 1944 novel The Horse's Mouth with the addition of The Old Strife at Plant's, which was a discarded chapter of The Horse's Mouth. The Horse's Mouth is the third novel in Joyce Cary's First Trilogy and follows the adventures of Gulley Jimson. The frontispiece is printed direct from a plate lithographed by the author and the other eight illustrations were reproduced by photo-litho-offset from his pencil drawings. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original hardback binding. Externally, lovely with some light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Near Fine
