NY: Harper & Row; (1961). First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. First printing of the author's first book, near fine in a near fine dust jacket. Very light dustiness to top edge of page block; faint discoloration to a small area of the bottom edge of the page block. The jacket is just slightly rubbed at edges. Inscribed by the author on the front endpaper. The basis for the movie Hud starring Paul Newman and Patricia Neal. A very nice copy, straight and tight, with no markings other than the author's inscription
