About This Item

Boston: Little Brown & Co., 1967. First Edition. . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Published shortly after Forester's death in 1966, "Hornblower During the Crisis" fills a gap in this classic series of early 19th century naval warfare, becoming the 4th book in the 11-book saga following Horatio Hornblower from midshipman to admiral over the course of 29 years, much of it in combat with Napoleon's France. First Printing/First Edition. 174 pages in blue cloth-covered boards with silver lettering and title box on spine. A tiny stain on lower edge of text near spine, a very slight spine lean, o/w boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square. Painting on the pictorial dustjacket by Sam Bryant. Dustjacket shows minor wear at corners and spine ends, some soiling on back panel, o/w no tears or creasing, not price-clipped. A very collectable copy to complete the Hornblower saga.
