Front endpaper has neat signs of bookplate removed. Else a clean and tight copy. 335pp. Modern first edition. Set in Argentina. At the centre of the story is Plarr, perhaps the most moving and convincing figure in Greene’s fiction. Revolutions, radical priests, terrorists, military dictators.
Synopsis
Graham Greene was born in 1904. He worked as a journalist and critic, and was later employed by the Foreign Office. He died in April 1991.
