Tips scuffed & TP margins faintly foxed. DJ complete with $15 price. 10"x7",xxvi,302pp. . DJ with few up to 1/2" closed tears & 1/4" chips in top edge. Immaculate book save for faint TP margin foxing. Top edge gilt bright as new, other edges deckled. All edges pristine, particularly unusual in deckled edges. Book tends to stay closed when stood on its spine. A sign of having been read with care, if at all. 20 full page color plates and 217 full page b/w plates. "Peabody Book Shop Baltimore" ticket inside front cover. The full name was "Peabody Book Shop and Beer Stube", a Baltimore landmark for over 50 years, where you could buy a book and drink a beer. H.L. Mencken was a regular. This book seller wasn't a regular, but he did have a few beers there back in the 60s. .
