Boston: Lothrop Publishing Company, 1900. This one-of-a-kind hard cover book has a red cover with gilt lettering on the front and spine. There is a gift inscription inside that reads "To Grace M. Austen from F.M.A - Christmas 1900" F.M.A is likely Francis M. Austen, husband of author Grace Merrill Jewett Austen, who's bookplate appears on the front endpaper. Bacheller's signature is on a card pasted down on the front free endpaper. Deckled edges. Gilt top edge. 432 pages.There is some cover wear and soil, the hinges are both weak. Spine a bit faded. 125 thousand printing, October 22 1900.. By Author. Hard Cover. Collectible-Fair/No Jacket. 5.5"x7.5".
