Very good maroon boards with gilt titles and with profusely illustrated text showcasing ancient looms, a common hand loom, the draw loom, compound harnesses, pile weaving, moving toward jacquard machines, levers, lace frame, along with a summary and general remarks. A book almost 150 years still sharing its warmth and wisdom. Has become scarce
