Lancaster, PA: Published for Members of the Family By the Author, 1876. 279 pages. Very Good, in original black embossed cloth, gilt embossed feather front coverm gilt lettering at spine, light wear at corners and spine ends, one page with top corner creased. Pages are clean, tight, and unmarked. RARE in current commerce, regularly seen at RareBookHub at auction and in dealer catalogues up until 1976, with no appearances since then. "Daniel Shuey, of French Huguenot lineage, and his son Ludwig, immigrated in 1732 from the Palatinate of Germany via Rotterdam to Philadelphia. The surname was spelled Schew in one source, and Schuhl in another. They settled in Bethel Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and elsewhere." (WorldCat).. First Edition. Embossed Cloth. Very Good. Small 8vo.
