New York: Philisophical Library, 1977. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 12mo (large). x, 128 p.p., frontispiece of Six Days of Creation from Biblia cum Concordantiis. Top edges in red. Staining to jacket spine, edges. Tight boards.Some staining to front and rear endpapers. Otherwise in very good condition. Giovanni Pico della Mirandola [1463-1494] was an Italian philosopher, nobleman, and humanist during the Italian rennaisane. In his philosophical treatise Heptaplus, "using medieval cosmology, Pico divided the created world into three groupings: the intelligences, or angels, the heavenly or celestial bodies, and the corruptible earthly bodies." [from the jacket]. Chapters include explorations of the Angelic and Invisile World, of The Elementary World, of the Celestial World, and more.
