London: T. Nelson and Sons, 1860. 416 pages plus color folding frontispiece and nine other colored plates. Gilt and blind stamped burgundy cloth covers. All edges are gilded. There is a small open tear affecting the outside edges of the folding frontispiece of the Solar System. The tear in the frontis edges is about a quarter of an inch into the margin. The same tear is about quarter sized from the edge of the title page, though not affecting any text. Gilt lettering/decoration on spine is a little faded. There is a little wear at spine ends and along edges of covers. Several inked names on blank front free end leaf. Volume remains tight and contents are clean.. Cloth - Hardcover. Fair/No Dust Jacket.
