Tight, attractive first edition of this sequel to Smith's 1996 blockbuster "Gorky Park." On the title page, he inscribes and signs boldly in black fineline: "to Mary Ann, / For the long / hot summer" and usual sloppy signature. Laid in are two Dubuque, Iowa newspaper articles regarding this book and his appearance thereat which this was signed.

Synopsis

Martin Cruz Smith is author of the Arkady Renko thrillers: Gorky Park , Polar Star , and Red Square , as well as the novels Nightwing , Stallion Gate , and Rose for which he won the Hammett Prize from the International Association of Crime Writers. He lives with his wife in northern California and they have three children.
