The author was a Professor of Art at the University of Pennsylvania. Contains an index and a bibliography in the rear. Two pages creased near front of the book. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. The dust jacket in in tatters and poor condition.; Color & B&W Illustrations; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 1,006 pages .
